Santa Maria Navarrese
Santa Maria Navarrese is a coastal town in the municipality of Baunei, one of the pearls of Ogliastra. Its wide and inviting beach is a must-see for anyone staying in the area: pale sand, transparent waters, a lush pine forest offering natural shade, and a marina from which dinghy excursions depart to the most famous coves in the Gulf of Orosei.

How to get there from the Domus de Janas
Santa Maria Navarrese is about a 20-minute drive from the hotel, following the SS125 north towards Baunei. Ample parking is available near the beach and the marina.

What will you find?
The beach, dominated by the Spanish Tower, stretches for over a kilometer and is surrounded by typical Mediterranean vegetation, with sand mixed with small pebbles and a gently sloping seabed. Behind it, the centuries-old pine forest offers shade and tranquility for those who prefer not to use the beach’s amenities.

Our advice
The beach offers a wide range of amenities, perfect for families and those seeking comfort: wheelchair access, ample parking (also suitable for campers), a bar, a snack bar, and restaurants. Umbrellas, deckchairs, and pedal boats are available for rent.
